Patrick King

Born in the West Indies, Patrick King started dancing at the age of seven. He joined the famous Dance Theatre of Harlem, danced in the movie “Fame”, and toured the world with a number of dance companies before joining Europe's most prestigious one, Cullberg ballet. When he started to choreograph his first pieces, they all became internationally renowned. Whilst King is still dancing, choreography and creation became increasingly his field and after a number of internationally acclaimed productions he found himself working with Cirque du Soleil, where he created the ground breaking act “Two Men”, which he also danced with his partner Johan King Silverhult.

In 2008 the Choreography of “Qi” at the Friedrichstadtpalast brings King to Berlin, where he has since created a number of shows and performances.
